The Hungarian Synchrotron Committee (HSC, a committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS)), coordinates the user activity of Hungarian scientists at accelerator-based light sources (synchrotrons and free electron lasers), as well as represents this user community (estimated number of users: 60) at different forums. The Committee disseminates information on research opportunities, grants a limited financial support for mobility, organizes scientific meetings and schools in the fields of synchrotron applications based scientific research. HSC promotes the education and training of young scientists in these fields.
