High Harmonic Generation (HHG)

The HHG is a kHz source of ultra-short pulses in the EUV to soft X-rays spectral range. Due to the interaction of noble gases atoms with a strong laser field of 10^15 W/cm2, the emitted electrons will be accelerated and then rescattered to parent atoms to generate radiation of short wavelength in attosecond bursts repeating every laser cycle.
